SCHÖPP-Soccer Grass
The essential advantages of the SCHÖPP-Soccergrass:
Thanks to its dense tuft construction – consisting of 50% monotape surface
yarn and 50% supporting crimped monofil yarn - the SCHÖPP-Soccergrass
resembles very much to natural grass regarding aspect and running properties. In
addition to the excellent sliding characteristics of the LSR-polyethylene yarn
of Ten Cate -Thiolon, an obligatory elastic subbase and our lens-shaped extruder
granulate Perfect Glide grant for a fantastic comfort of move. The clou:
SCHÖPP-Soccergrass is being installed without a quartz sand filling, thus
remaining removable, and it can be cleaned with a conventional granulate hoover
(SMG/Carpet Wonder)
In comparision, most competing products with a pile height of 40 to 50 mm and a filling of some 15 kg/sqm of recycled car tyre granulate are really outdoor qualities, which are also being installed indoors. With growing age, however, these systems are sure to develop immense dust and odour problems and a reasonable maintenance concept is not in sight!
The 20-mm-grass construction with an elastic sub base and little filling material offers further advantages over a 50-mm construction with lots of filling material, without a sub base:
- The frequentation on a small soccer court is about 10 times higher than on a large football field. With the tremendous mechanical strain, a high-pile grass tends to dislocate the filling material and this leads to an irregular surface, which impedes the ball rolling properties.
- Moreover, the extreme strain (especially in the goal areas) causes the filling material to compress, leading to a decrease of elasticity and force relief. The sub base used in our system guarantees an almost undiminished comfort of move for your players over many years.
- Thanks to the absence of a quartz sand filling, the SCHÖPP-Soccergrass remains mobile!
