Compact
swing floor
The combination of our most comfortable tennis carpets (point elasticity) with a swing floor sub-construction (surface elasticity) offers the maximum with regard to comfort and health for the articulation!
Characteristics of a compact swing floor:
- The hall manager may point out in his advertising that with this tennis floor, he is doing the maximum for his players regarding comfort and health for the articulation.
- The (flatter) ball bounce and the general playing properties (e.g. acoustics) of compact swing floors are “a matter of taste”. In general, however, players get quickly used to the altered conditions, so that in the end the advantages outweigh the rest.
- Compact swing floors can be installed directly over the existing floor covering, providing that the underground floor is o.k. => the old floor covering does not have to be torn out.
- When the carpet needs to be replaced again, it can be taken out easily and without damaging the compact swing floor, which means that it is an ideal sub-construction for several generations of coverings. We know by experience (the oldest compact swing floors being some 25 years old) that they can be used at least two or three times.

Advantages of a compact swing floor compared to the grid swing floor
- only compact swing floors guarantee a regular elasticity at any point of the floor, whereas the grid swing floors always have “hard” spots (on the swing carrier over the rubber pad)
- compact swing floors are far less noisy regarding footfall and ball bounce acoustics
- compact swing floors are cheaper than the grid swing floors of comparable quality
